Mrs. Veronica Beck, Principal

Mrs. Veronica Beck comes to Mount Sacred Heart with over 23 years of Catholic School experience. She has worked and taught grades 5th to 8th for 18 years in the Archdiocese of San Antonio as well as the Archdiocese of Hartford, Connecticut.  She has also been an administrator for 5 years, including the role of Assistant Principal.


Mrs. Beck was raised in San Antonio and educated at St. Luke Catholic School and Ursuline Academy. She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. She continued her education at St. Mary’s University, completing a Master of Arts in Catholic School Leadership. 


Mrs. Beck has a strong commitment to Catholic Education, and brings with her an abundance of strengths in administration, curriculum and instruction. Her passion and dedication to Catholic schools has brought her to Mount Sacred Heart where she continues to share the mission of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus; to foster hearts capable of leadership and service.

Mrs. Sharon Longoria, Vice Principal

Mrs. Sharon Longoria has been with Mount Sacred Heart for the past ten years. She has taught at the elementary level, middle school math and religion, and has served as Religion Coordinator. She has worked in Catholic Schools in San Antonio as well as in the Diocese of Arlington, VA. She earned a B.A. in Elementary Education  from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and a M.A. in Catholic School Leadership from St. Mary's University, San Antonio. She is a product of San Antonio Catholic Schools.


As Vice Principal, Mrs. Longoria oversees the implementation of curriculum as well as monitors learning and teaching. Mrs. Longoria monitors student progress and works closely with the faculty to ensure each student is provided the educational opportunities they need in order to grow into the young men and women God has called them to be. She also works in conjunction with the Director of Student Services to ensure all academic opportunities are designed to meet the broad spectrum of learning needs and abilities of each student.
