Principal's Welcome
Dear Prospective Family,
Thank you for your interest in Mount Sacred Heart Catholic School.
MSH has a tradition of academic excellence that dates back over ninety years. We continue to improve our legacy through our strong curriculum which focuses on the development of the whole child in both, the Montessori Program and our grade school. The MSH faculty and staff are committed to providing our students with an exemplary Catholic education for all.
Mount Sacred Heart is a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, and is fully accredited through the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops Education Department (TCCB Ed). The teachers and administrators meet the professional qualifications set forth by the TCCB Ed, and continue to deepen their professional skills through on-going professional development. Mount Sacred Heart offers an Montessori program for students 2 ½ to 5 years, Title I services, Spanish, art, music, technology, physical education, dance, tumbling, a Middle School Honors Program, in addition to the Middle School Electives Program, a school guidance program, numerous extra-curricular activities for all grade levels, a competitive sports program (CYO and AIAL), and a nationally recognized cheer program.
We focus on the full development of a student’s spiritual and academic potential and seek to foster hearts attuned to leadership and service. We are committed to adhering to the Archdiocesan Standards, and making data-driven decisions to meet the needs of all learners. Our faculty is committed to developing digitally responsible citizens in our students. This thoughtfully created environment allows our students to find the perfect balance between technology and hands on curriculum.
We are proud of the continued success of our MSH Alumni. Students have been named valedictorians, salutatorians, and are ranked in the top ten percent in both public and private high schools. Our recent graduates have been to elite institutions including Columbia, Vanderbilt, Wellesley, U. S. Air Force Academy, and Vassar to name a few. Success stories such as these are examples of the strong foundation our students receive as they continue to develop in our core values of Community, Compassion, Integrity, and Service. All of their experiences during their years at Mount Sacred Heart provide our students and community with the strong foundation that ensures their many successes throughout their lifetime.
MSH is FAMILY. Between the care and compassion of our faculty and staff, our dedicated families, Alumni and friends, this school becomes your second home. We embrace the opportunity to walk with you as partners on your child’s educational journey. I invite you to visit our school to learn more about the excellent educational and spiritual opportunities available.
